France
Born at the end of the 1970s in the south of the Ile-de-France, SEEL discovered the graphic arts through the practice of skateboarding.
In 1996 he began his pictorial activity through graffiti. At the end of his studies in art and visual communication, SEEL focused on his graphic activity and worked as a freelance. Along with his professional activity, he organizes and participates in several exhibitions, firstly based on graffiti, then on graphics and painting. He then abandoned exhibitions to concentrate on drawing and collage.
For several years now and for the sake of independence, SEEL has been gradually setting up his own screen printing workshop – a tool which enables him to reproduce his drawings in limited series. His logo, named “Memo” for Memento Mori, takes up the idea of vanities in art. SEEL tackles different themes often centered around nature, death, various myths … Wanting to “give life” to his drawings, SEEL has now broadened his field of action by focusing on sculpture.
