France

An iconic figure of the Parisian Street Art scene,
Jo Di Bona owes his meteoric success to his unique technique, which he invented himself: Pop Graffiti, where he combines collages, various graffiti influences, and the pop culture he has deeply absorbed. A modern-day Fauvist, Jo blends colors and movement to create faces filled with poetry, emotion, and joie de vivre. In his works, he pays homage with equal tenderness to both historical icons and passing strangers, guided by the generous perspective he brings to humanity, because “what matters most to him is sharing.”

Crowned with the prestigious 1st Prize in Graffiti from the EDF Foundation in 2014, Jo has since participated in numerous international exhibitions, performances, and murals. Notably, his immense work was presented at the Musée de l’Immigration in Paris, his large-scale murals in Paris, at the Loures Arte Publica in Lisbon, for the French Consulate in the heart of Atlanta, and his monumental works were featured in the Street Art for Mankind exhibitions in New York and Miami in 2017 and 2018. Since 2016, his work has been represented by the Galerie Barrou Planquart at international art fairs in New York, Miami, London, Hong Kong, Lausanne, Madrid, Munich, and Stockholm.

Celebrated by the media, Jo has been featured on France 2, France 3, M6, BFM, in the show Télématin, on Radio France and RFM, graced the covers of Graffiti Art Magazine, Arts Magazine, Street Art Magazine, Paris Tonkar, and was recognized by Artsper as one of the “10 Artists to Watch in 2016” and among the Top 5 Street Artists preferred by Konbini in 2018. He also made the front page of the prestigious New York Times for his memorial wall at Petit Cambodge. Jo is among the first Street Artists in the world to have entered the United Nations Headquarters in New York in January 2017 and is featured among the 25 global artists in the Contemporary Urban Art Guide 2019/2020/2022/2023/2024.

He has since appeared in numerous art publications, released his first monograph in May 2024 with Gallimard // Alternatives, and was officially named Ambassador of Volunteers for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, where he guided 45,000 Paris 2024 volunteers to create one of the world’s largest collaborative artworks, resulting in 26 major works to be exhibited on the fences of the Olympic Village for the exhibition “Faces of the Games.”
