An exceptional artist and technician, Olivier Coisne carries out, in an ecological and environmental approach, research and creation work on the world around him.
His career path is atypical and fluctuates between technical schools and the guild federation which allowed him to acquire different techniques such as fire control. He began his artistic production at the age of twenty, combining technicality and imagination.
His meeting with the artists Claude and François Xavier Lalanne in 1999 marked a turning point in his artistic life. After a twenty-year career in craftsmanship, during which he created numerous highly technical luxury pieces, Olivier Coisne left Lille for the Opal Coast and refocused his work around materials. The idea of working with bronze naturally came to him. This noble and perennial material, linked to nature, constitutes for him a return to his sources through the use of fire and leads him towards a new
approach to expressing his life stories.
Olivier Coisne’s art is born from a need for spiritual enthusiasm and plays with the material which becomes the work.
His works are unique pieces, and reflect the refinement and elegance of nature.
