Co-founded in 2024 by Michel-Claude Porceddu and Isabelle Ventach, Out of the Blue has been led by Isabelle Ventach since 2025. The contemporary art gallery places materials, colour and light at the heart of its programme. It brings together artists who share an attentiveness to the living world, working across painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media and, more recently, photography.

The gallery’s programme brings plant-inspired and organic forms into dialogue with the mineral world, with occasional echoes of architecture. A search for harmony runs through the programme, expressed in the balance of compositions, the interplay of colours and the affinities between works.

Particular attention is paid to textures, to the artists’ gestures and to the traces they leave in the material. Light brings out the contours of surfaces and the depth of colours, inviting viewers to linger and discover the subtleties of each work.

Out of the Blue works closely with the artists it represents, building relationships over time. It also advises art lovers, collectors and institutions seeking to build or enrich collections that reflect their own sensibilities.

In the heart of Lille’s historic old town, the gallery is now part of Espace Out of the Blue. Through events at the gallery and beyond, it brings artists and audiences together to explore the connections between visual art, poetry, music and literature.
