For over 20 years, the Lille University Hospital has pursued an ambitious and innovative cultural policy, which has resulted in major contemporary art projects on campus, with and for its users, patients, carers and professionals.

Now part of the hospital’s corporate project, this policy affirms the value of art in supporting care processes, improving quality of life, the perception of time spent in hospital, the representation of illness and disability, and promoting access for all to works of art and cultural practices. In favor of a cultural dynamic rooted in the local area, it supports structures and artists by offering them a unique space to Liberate matter and promote their creations beyond the hospital.

For this latest edition, the CHU de Lille is presenting the Transparaître exhibition, the result of writing and graphic workshops conducted by Du vent dans les mots with patients hospitalized in the psychogeriatric wards at Hôpital Fontan 2 and in the Unité hospitalière sécurisée interrégionale (UHSI), as well as those cared for at the Centre médico-psychologique Montebello and the Centre de soins, d’accompagnement et de prévention en addictologie (CSAPA).
