THE GALLERIES
Acid Gallery stands out for its commitment to promoting emerging artists, while DTTH Gallery showcases the work of established and recognized artists.
THE CURATOR: Eric Delecourt
An art enthusiast for over 20 years, Eric Delecourt has developed a particular sensitivity to contemporary art. This passion naturally led him to visit museums, galleries and art fairs. His decisive meeting with Denis Hopper, legendary director and actor of Easy Rider, but also a renowned photographer, was a turning point. Hopper introduced him to private visits to prestigious institutions such as MoMA, the Met and the Whitney Museum.
In 2016, Eric Delecourt founded Acid Gallery. Two entities coexist there: DTTH (Don’t Trust The Hype), dedicated to established artists, and Acid Gallery, which focuses on emerging artists.
OUR ASPIRATIONS
“To make our passion our profession, to make art accessible and to help discover new talent.”
Initially virtual, the gallery opened its doors in December 2018 at 11 rue de la Collégiale, in Old Lille. Today, it has taken up residence in a unique and atypical location: a former chapel, housing over 500 works of art. The gallery’s director wanted to turn it into a true meeting place for contemporary art.
