Seven years ago, former product and interior designer Sander de Klerk started as a full-time artist in South Africa. The many galleries in Johannesburg and Cape Town provided the perfect habitat for a flying start.
Four years ago, he moved to Belgium where he started making paper collages. While experimenting with new materials, he discovered the creative potential of silk paper. Now this is the main medium in his work.
In early 2023, he started gallery Sunday Art to provide a new platform for his own art practice, in combination with continuously changing exhibitions of other contemporary artists.
