Miho Murakami is a painter born in 1946 in Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture.
She is the director of the Kobe Institute of Painting.
She has studied the fundamentals of painting since the age of 10. After graduating from art school, she chose to develop her own style rather than attend a recognized art school.
Following the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of 1995, Miho began painting works in which she projects human emotions through apples. She embarks on a true quest to understand the world of apples. Miho Murakami has exhibited since 1990 in Kobe, Yokohama, Hiroshima, Paris, and New York.
