Jean Miotte (926-2016) is a French artist, painter, and sculptor, considered one of the leading figures of gestural abstraction. Influenced by American abstract expressionism, he developed an energetic style, characterized by spontaneous gestures and a constant exploration of the dynamics of line and color. Miotte uses vibrant colors and broad brushstrokes to create compositions that are full of energy, where the act of painting becomes a central element of the work. Throughout his career, he sought to express inner forces and emotions through his art. Jean Miotte has exhibited in international galleries and is regarded as an essential figure in 20th-century abstract art.
