Multidisciplinary visual artist Mathieu Lucas settled in Montpellier about ten years ago. He has developed a distinctive body of work that blends sculpture and painting into three-dimensional creations where delicacy meets rawness. His minimalist and socially engaged universe explores themes of the Anthropocene Era, questioning our relationship with the world and with nature. Through miniature shifts in scale, he invites viewers to contemplate the planet from a different perspective, somewhere between wonder and unease. Climate change, pollution, and dystopian futures become, through his ironic lens, critical reflections on our time.
