Lau Vago develops an abstract pictorial practice in which matter, color, and gesture become the vectors of a sensitive exploration of inner life.

Her work draws on both intuition and mastery, creating compositions where fragility and power, chaos and harmony coexist. Through ink, pigments, acrylic, and sometimes gold leaf applied to linen canvas, the artist builds a personal visual language based on the vibration of materials and the expressiveness of gesture.

Her works explore emotional memory, states of transition, intimate wounds, and bursts of joy. The circle motif frequently appears as a kind of anchor or guide , a symbol of fullness, light, or hope, though never predictably.. It sometimes pops up as a matter of course, in favor of a more diffuse movement , giving way to an open narrative.

Lau Vago claims a degree of chance in her creation: some textures, cracks, or shades emerge freely, while others are meticulously crafted. This tension between spontaneity and structure runs through her entire body of work, reflecting a deep human vision where free will finds its full expression.

Lau Vago, a Belgian painter, discovered painting in 2006 while pursuing a long and demanding university career.
Very quickly , her artistic practice becomes a vital necessity, a space of freedom and intuition as a counterpart to the rigour of her studies.

This dialogue between science and creation fuels a profound personal quest: to translate the essentials of life through matter and color. By experimenting with ink, pigments, acrylic, and gold leaf, Lau Vago has developed a spontaneous, sensitive style and gradually built a unique pictorial language.

Her works are regularly exhibited in Belgium and feature in several private collections.
