“Gently
First, observe. Sometimes to the point of stubbornness, always, it doesn’t matter, whether it’s the world around me, scents, a whisper of love, a fabric, a giggle, a reminiscence, a melody or you or the person passing by, entering the studio… I love to use my eyes, my feelings and my emotions as a prism that collects the precious essence of all these observations and gives birth to the “beautiful” as it is constructed and refined over the years in my inner self. Each work draws its strength from the constant application of classic artistic techniques and the use of contemporary tools and materials that grow and enrich over time. It’s an experience that gradually builds up a real signature, a real DNA. Every painting is the subject of notebook drawings, sometimes carried out over several years. With a serene line, I never work laboriously; I want to be both technical and spontaneous, overflowing and orderly. I want to be both technical & spontaneous, overflowing & orderly. I’m demanding, because my work must go beyond the “applied” aspect and give us pleasure, make you smile, amuse me, move you, take my mind off things… And if you perceive it, fill your head & heart with the “beauty” that drives me.”
