France

Claudie Laks is a French artist born in Algeria in 1952. After her studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, she already exhibited at an early age in major institutions such as the Centre Georges Pompidou and the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris. Her paintings are abstract and are defined as the creation of vibrant, colourful territory in an intellectual and sensory world. The titles of her creations emerge during their execution and often refer to literary and philosophical writings of which they become interpretations.
