France
Born in Toulouse in 1964, Agnès Léon‑Dufour Steeg has always been passionate about artistic creation. She began studying drawing in Paris and continued in the United States, where she devoted herself particularly to the beauty of the nude. She then lived abroad for several years, using these successive changes of scenery to deepen her art: discovering acrylic painting in Zurich, working with oils at the Ateliers de la Ville de Bogotá, and then in Madrid where she continued her colorful southern inspiration.
From academic drawing and sculpture to painting and abstract sculpture, Agnès has developed her passion over time. By sculpting, she comes closer to the material, the power of the moment, and to Life… She adds a new dimension to her art to express the gentleness or strength of beings in motion, moving her works from clay to bronze.
At the same time, her in‑depth studies of morphopsychology allow her to approach the subtleties of the human soul, often perceptible in her works. Her paintings as well as her sculptures, both powerful and delicate, speak to the heart and the soul: a subtle alchemy reflecting an unfinished quest for balance, strength, and life.
