Ulrich Haug was born in 1972 in Baden-Württemberg. He lives and works in Waiblingen near Stuttgart. He studied art in Ludwigsburg and at the University of Tübingen, under the tutelage of Professors Fritz Straßner, Hermann Burkhardt, Christian Kattenstroth, and Frido Hohberger, among others. Alongside his studies in special education, he completed a general studies program at the Tübingen Drawing Institute, studying under Frido Hohberger and Jürgen Klugmann. He also attended seminars at the European Art Academy in Trier.
His work was first exhibited in 2003 at the Villa Boisserée in Cologne. Since then, he has had numerous exhibitions in Germany and throughout Europe. Ulrich Haug has exhibited regularly at Art Karlsruhe since 2011 and at Kunst RAI in Amsterdam and Positions Berlin Art Fair since 2018. He is represented by galleries in Stuttgart, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Zurich. His work is included in numerous private and public collections in Germany, Europe, and the USA.
