Christina Gschwantner, born in Vienna in 1975, is an Austrian visual artist. Trained at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, she enriched her career with stays in Greece, Mexico and New York.
Her work oscillates between vibrant expression and minimalism, fusing introspection and self-affirmation. Using raw linen, she engages in a direct dialogue with texture, letting her works unfold organically. Abstract or figurative, they explore impermanence and the infinity of possibilities.
Passionate about color, she wields a palette ranging from subtle pastels to dazzling neons, infusing her compositions with dynamic energy. Inspired by intuition and childhood memories, she feeds her creative process with the unexpected and serendipity, finding meaning in chaos and discovery.
Represented by galleries in Barcelona, Washington, Mermaid Beach (Australia) and Berlin, her work has been exhibited at international fairs and events in Vienna, Brussels, Seoul, Taiwan, Zagreb and Berlin.
