Michael Fanta (b. 1989) is an Austrian artist based in Vienna. Working primarily with painting, his practice explores themes related to human nature and psychological states. He studied under Daniel Richter at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and also attended the Iceland Academy of the Arts in Reykjavik. His work has been presented in solo exhibitions at the Institute of Modern Art Nuremberg and Galerie Zeller van Almsick in Vienna, and he has participated in several international residency programs across Europe.
His works were presented at Alo Galerie in September 2025 as part of the group exhibition Get On My Nerves, and the artist will hold a solo exhibition at the gallery in April 2026.
