artist/ Etienne Gros

Born in 1962, Etienne Gros lives and works in Paris.
From 1981 to 1986, he studied in different art schools in Epinal and Versailles. He graduated from the Paris School of Fine Arts where he attended the workshops of Iscan, Olivier Debré and Vélicovic. He received the Azart grand prize at the 2006 Mac show.

Etienne Gros paints fragmentary anatomy, truncated bodies. The torsos, sides, pelvises, knees he paints appear as if caught in the middle of a battle, releasing mysterious forces.
