artist/ Durrey

Laurent Durrey was born in 1967 in Bordeaux, where he resides and creates his works. He defines himself as a new realist, creating from what already exists.
It is through traveling around the world that he composes/decomposes, pastes/removes current posters, continuing the research of the new realist affichistes of the 50s/60s. Through his work, he expresses his vision of the streets. With these fragments and torn pieces of paper, he “intimates” public subjects, integrating them into our inner world. The face, a figurative element, is the central focus on which the composition of his work relies.
