Neslihan Demircioğlu was born in 1972 in Istanbul. After graduating from the Department of Architecture at Yıldız Technical University, she founded her own architectural practice, which she continues to run today. Working primarily with ceramic, iron, wood, and occasionally glass, her sculptural practice investigates the unknown dimensions of existence through spiritual, mythological, and ancient sources of knowledge.
In 2021, she held her first solo exhibition, Skies and Roots, at the historic Kethüda Hammam, and participated the same year in the Elgiz Museum’s rooftop exhibition Future Tense. In 2022, her second solo exhibition, Noah’s Magnetic Flood, was presented at Guga Contemporary. She has taken part in numerous group exhibitions and art fairs in Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, and Bodrum, and has been invited to lead art workshops for children in Artvin, Gaziantep, and Istanbul.
In 2023, she participated in the exhibition Starting from the Middle at Artİstanbul Feshane. In 2024, she garnered wide public acclaim with her major solo exhibition Timeless Time – The Secret Gate, presented at Metrohan with the support of İBB Culture and İBB Heritage. That same year, she marked a new phase in her practice at Arthan Gallery with the exhibition Istanbul Fairies, where she combined glass and ceramic for the first time. The artist lives and works in Istanbul.
