Fabien DELAUBE, born in Bordeaux in 1973, lives and works in Paris. His figurative works are both visionary and fantastical. A lover of nature and people, the artist enjoys travelling in order to paint the expressions of those he meets, interpreting their emotions between quiet amazement and contemplative attitudes. The depth of his highly structured compositions encourages us to leaf through the pages of our lives like masks that bury our souls. Even as he accumulates glazes, he strives to lift the veil on our deepest identities. His technique opens the doors to a poetry imbued with humanity. The light and shadow in his works guide us on a quest leading from darkness to purity, from death to rebirth….
