Marc DANIEL’s artistic journey is rooted in a childhood experience at the heart of a dance studio. His mother, a classical dance teacher, instilled in him from a very young age an appreciation for movement and the beauty of gesture. At five years old, he discovered the poetry of the moving body, music, discipline, and above all, the emotional power conveyed by artistic expression. After a brief introduction to dance, he stepped away, drawn back by the social codes of childhood. Only decades later would he rediscover that same vibrant, vital energy in visual art. In his basement, a raw and silent space, he began to paint—without any method or clear purpose, guided solely by instinct.

His first works, created in a state of creative trance, expressed an irrepressible inner drive, an explosion of energy. These paintings marked the birth of a profound need: to create in order to exist. He split his time between his medical practice and painting, before deciding to fully embrace his identity as an artist. Yet, the search for meaning, doubts, and failures followed in quick succession.

Despite disciplined effort and technical mastery, the results remained unsatisfying. This difficult period, however, became the fertile ground for transformation. By reconnecting with materials—earth, plaster, then bronze—Marc DANIEL found the freedom he had been seeking.

Sculpture quickly became an obvious choice: the dialogue between gesture, volume, and emptiness became his new breath of life. Encouraged by pivotal encounters and the support of his daughter Amélie, he exhibited his first monumental sculptures. His works captivate with their balance, sensuality, and inner strength. They soon found their place among collectors, designers, and galleries internationally. Today, Marc DANIEL continues his quest for meaning and emotion through sculpture. He sees each creation as an inner vibration, a movement of the soul that connects matter to spirit. His work is grounded in a humanistic approach: understanding, through form, what unites human beings beyond the visible.
