artist/ Bouro
France
Born in 1967, Laurent Bouro lives and works in Tours. A self-taught painter, he has devoted himself entirely to painting for some fifteen years and exhibits regularly in galleries and fairs in France and abroad. After a long period focused on the human face, he now paints landscapes and trees, on the border between figuration and abstraction. His solitary, pared-down trees evoke rootedness and the passing of time. He has developed a personal technique that makes the paint crack: the fissure, now his signature, structures the surface of each painting. His works have joined private collections from Paris all the way to Auckland, in New Zealand.
