Ben Vautier (1935-2022), better known simply as Ben, was a French artist of Swiss origin. A key figure of the Fluxus movement, he is renowned for his “writings” — short, striking handwritten inscriptions on various supports. A provocative and socially engaged artist, he consistently questioned the very definition of art, blurring the boundaries between artistic creation, daily life, and critical thought.
