Tommy Knuts is an artist from the Côte d’Opale. A graduate of Saint-Luc
Tournai in Belgium and Les Gobelins in Paris, he has been based in Lille for several
Lille for several years.

A jack-of-all-trades by nature, his work is multidisciplinary. Canvases, murals
and sculptures are his main means of expression.

Through impulsive and automatic research, his jumble of characters and landscapes

Connecting things and beings in the light of the links that unite them. Freezing the
emotions that come alive in the course of encounters, capturing those moments when life
expresses itself and surprises us. Between wonder and joie de vivre, but also fears and concerns

He strives for visual vibrancy and balance through his intertwining of forms

question our human relationships and our freedoms.

TRÈS LOIN is a confrontation between lines and surfaces. Clear, spontaneous lines

mortar-coated canvases, these paintings become fragments of landscapes

an ode to pure, unadulterated drawing.

The lines that run across these surfaces reflect inner journeys, a celebration of adventure

hills, plains, mountains, ridges and volcanoes, symbolising the sum
the sum of our past experiences and future trials.

The series invites the viewer to join the figures on their journey through these
landscapes. By losing themselves in these worlds, each of us is led to rediscover our own desire to explore and discover.

appear as witnesses of time and the journey taken. From
indelible memories of being away from home, whether by choice or necessity.

the artist seeks to capture the complexities of human relationships, while at the same time
paying homage to the richness of our inner and outer journeys.
