Comes from a family in the real estate world, but after the financial crisis (2008) lost everything having lost everything his mom had warned him about. His mom (+ 2004) has therefore had a very big influence on his work as an artist (or at least to take the step to being 100% an artist). His signature works are the “circle series,” which go back to his youngest memory as a child where the family was dancing to music from the spinning vinyl record. Also intrigued by the shapes that nature brings with it. The circle series are sometimes 80 to 160 layers of paint before the resin layer goes on top. The art is in not allowing the resin to flow outside the outer ring or the canvas will be torn apart.
