Séverine Loisel, originally from Saint-Malo, is a painter who uses abstraction to reveal her inner vision of the world. Immersed in the light of Brittany during her childhood, she discovered her passion for painting through her grandfather, who introduced her to the art of color. This early fascination with materials and hues became a guiding force in her life, shaping her artistic journey.

She pursued studies in graphic design and decorative painting, including training at the prestigious Institut Van Der Kelen in Brussels, where she mastered ancestral techniques. After a period focused on commissioned works, Séverine felt an overwhelming need for creative freedom, leading her to dedicate herself entirely to personal expression.

Her work, often inspired by wildlife, aquatic worlds, and landscapes, gradually embraced abstraction. Color, central to her art, merges with texture to express her search for harmony and balance. Influenced by Nicolas de Staël, she views form as a mediator that brings meaning to her paintings, transforming them into an invitation to share her introspective reflections.

Through her art, Séverine Loisel creates an organic and captivating universe. Each piece reflects a sincere and uncompromising self-expression. In her studio, often surrounded by the ocean and the luminous landscapes of Portugal, she channels her emotions and environment to celebrate the beauty and depth of nature and human experience
