Nathalie Coussée is a painter born in Belgium in 1966. Passionate about art and creation, she began a career as a stylist in the 90s. She draws her inspiration from her various travels, notably to Burkina Faso.
Painting becomes his new means of expression, Africa his second home.
The Royal Academy taught him: technique, African culture: emotion. Through the duality of this learning she develops a unique style.
His works, rich in details, exuberant colors and ambivalent shapes, oscillate between abstraction and figuration, thus creating a unique artistic universe that invites reflection.
Far from being conventional, and more often outside the norm, Nathalie explores models not yet disguised by the cultural conventions imposed by time and ready-to-think. His inspiration is as deep as his painting is the intact expiration of the aesthetics, chaos, angels and demons that punctuate his African and Flemish life. The colors are primal and force the eye towards all the vigor and depth of the cultures it encounters.
