Rebecca Bernau (Aachen °82) embraces both analog and digital techniques as a representative of her generation. She has a unique talent for bringing minimalist figures, often composed of simple planes, to life. With a true gift for using intense color compositions, she enjoys various printing techniques and video animations alongside traditional oil and acrylic painting methods.
Growing up with a mother who was an artist, Rebecca discovered the power of shapes and colors to express herself at a young age. She was born in 1982, and her childhood was still firmly rooted in an analog world at that time. The digital age came later. Initially, she was hesitant about the new digital world, but during her studies, she realized that, in addition to color and form, she could also paint with light and motion. She discovered an entirely new playground full of possibilities and inspiration. Rebecca graduated from the University of Wuppertal in 2011, where she studied graphic and media design.
By integrating digital methods into her art, Rebecca has since developed her own unique style. Her work radiates the overwhelming array of impressions she experiences daily. With a touch of humor and a deep interest in people and philosophy, she creates a world full of tolerance and love.
Today, she lives and works in Munich, and her exhibitions take place in both Europe and Asia.
We invite you to come and experience Rebecca’s colorful expressions and be swept away into a world where shapes and colors merge into an enchanting whole, where art is the ultimate form of freedom and is sure to leave a lasting impact on you.
