Matteo Venturi did not follow a traditional academic path. His career began in Rome in special effects production, where he excelled at digitally modeling organic forms. In 2013, he had an artistic epiphany while visiting the Francis Bacon retrospective at the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence. It was then that he fully grasped the infinite possibilities offered by the practice of painting. It would take him several years of experimentation to master the oil painting technique, its materiality, and its extreme sensuality.

In 2021, he exhibited for the first time in France at the Galerie Thomas Tournemine.
