artist/ Gotiez

Belgique

Creative at heart, it was only at the age of 30 that Gotiez truly moved from drawing to painting.
He honed his skills in museums and exhibitions, captivated by the work of painters from different worlds such as Twombly, Tàpies, and Villeglé.
By diverting classical techniques to assert his uniqueness, he always kept away from the academic path. Through perseverance and observation, he developed his own style.

Represented by the Sablon d’art gallery for over 10 years, he enjoys international visibility, allowing him to send his works to the four corners of the world.
He exhibits there continuously and exclusively, frequently present to meet art lovers and collectors.

It was through traveling the world that Gotiez learned to capture the gentleness of time and the strength of emotions. Painting quickly became a unique way of restoring and preserving all the authenticity and generosity distilled during his many encounters. Each canvas is an invitation to a journey where the viewer is confronted with the delicacy of the moment and the intensity of memories.

From the beginning, Gotiez has been able to capture the essence of material, fusing cultural influences with bold modernity. This ability to transcend geographic and stylistic boundaries is a testament to his capacity for reinvention. Throughout his career, he has successively or simultaneously explored techniques working with clay, wood, paper, and ink.
