Michal Macku, born in 1963 in the Czech Republic, is an artist known for his work at the crossroads of photography and glass. After studying at the Technical University of Brno, he developed the “gellage” technique, which involves transferring images onto different media, including glass. His works, which combine photography and glass sculpture, explore themes related to individuality, inner freedom and the relationship between body and space. Macku favors personal interpretation of his creations by the public, thus creating a intimate connection with his works.
