Since his Bulgarian childhood, an intuitive enthusiasm seems to guide Desislava Stoilova… After the French high school in Plovdiv, the artist settled in France and studied at the Ecole régionale supérieure d’expression plastique (ERSEP) in Tourcoing. During her training, she fortuitously discovered glass (the fusing) and made it her preferred material of expression for the completion of her final degree. The curiosity she feels for the subject then leads her to the Higher School of Arts and Crafts in Arras. Vitrailliste graduated in 2009, she then created her workshop, always driven by a direct and spontaneous understanding of the glass medium.

Since 2016, she has focused her work on the creation of sculptures in pâte de verre. She develops a personal approach based on two cooking techniques using sand or steel moulds. Its processes are the result of long and patient research. In 2024, it completes this approach by integrating glass foam, thus enriching its plastic language.
