Graduate of Esä Dunkerque-Tourcoing, Roman Compiègne develops work around sound, music and digital technology. His works take the form of hybrid sound installations, combining various media, or sound sculptures, often interactive, which he uses as instruments or makes available to the public.
His work questions our use of digital technology, the traces we leave online, the data we produce and the visual forms specific to the digital world. He is also developing a self-taught musical practice, exploring alternative modes of composition through programming, graphic scores, drawing and visual elements from the Internet.
