Leslie Berthet Laval develops a mixed-media practice in which material and light are central elements. On canvas, she combines acrylic paint, spray paint, gold or silver leaf, and lacquered resin, creating contrasts between matte and glossy surfaces.
On stainless steel, the support itself becomes an active component. Metallic reflections interact with color and ambient light, altering perception depending on the viewer’s position. Each artwork offers an immersive visual experience guided by material and light.
