Since its creation, Galerie Nicolas-Xavier has asserted a distinctive vision of contemporary and urban art. Driven by its founder, Nicolas-Xavier Callu, the gallery has established itself as a leading destination in the south of France, renowned both for the rigor of its program and for its pivotal role in promoting the artists it represents. Whether abstract or figurative, emerging talents or established names, the gallery’s guiding principle rests above all on the gallerist’s sensitivity and intuition, free from any stylistic or formal boundaries.

Over the years, the gallery has brought together major artists such as Franck Noto, Mode 2, Mathieu Lucas, Eron, and Andrea Ravo Mattoni. This diversity reflects the Director’s ambition: to highlight the richness of contemporary creation and to champion urban art as one of the major movements of our time. As a cultural actor, Nicolas-Xavier embodies both mentor and ambassador, initiating large-scale projects supported by local institutions and beyond.

The year 2023 marked a turning point with the opening of a 180 m² space on Place des Musées, at the foot of the Musée Fabre. This exceptional venue, where medieval heritage meets contemporary architecture, provides a rare and refined setting for the gallery’s exhibitions.

In June 2025, the gallery takes another symbolic step with two major milestones: the opening of a second 300 m² space on rue du Palais des Guilhem, in the historic heart of Montpellier, and the presentation in Paris of La Folle Journée de Mr.A, a landmark exhibition signaling its growing presence on the national scene. Conceived as a living laboratory, this new venue will foster innovative formats, while its Parisian presence confirms the dynamic expansion of Galerie Nicolas-Xavier.
