Born in 1989 in Lyon, Éléna Morel is a visual artist who lives and works between Marseille and Berlin. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, she develops a hybrid practice combining painting, installation, and experimental photography.
Her work explores the fragility of memory and the ways in which images settle within us, transform, and disintegrate. She uses natural pigments, light-altered prints, and organic supports (tissue paper, fabric, frosted glass) to create works where matter becomes trace, imprint, and disappearance.
Exhibited in France, Germany, and more recently in South Korea, Éléna Morel builds a sensitive body of work that engages with notions of time, intimacy, and perception. Her research offers viewers an experience that is both poetic and unsettling, hovering between appearance and erasure.
