Aziz BENJA, a Moroccan painter, was born in 1974 in Erfoud, Morocco. In 1999, he graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts in the city of Tetouan, where he established himself as a visual arts teacher, strongly influenced by his teachings, both academic (from the school’s founder, Mariano Bertuchi, among others) and resolutely focused on contemporary art.
Enhancing landscapes and relying on a generous use of color, his delicate, impressionistic style captivated. He quickly participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in various galleries in Morocco and abroad, while receiving numerous awards.
His works have been auctioned dozens of times. Some exhibitions:
Medina Art Gallery (2014) in Tangier
El Fenn Gallery (2016) in Tetouan
Villa Houda Gallery (2018) in Mohammedia
Pascual de Cabo Gallery (2019) in Palma de Mallorca

His works are also part of prestigious collections:
Mohammed VI Museum of Modern Art in Rabat
Ministry of Culture in Rabat
Modern Art Center in Tetouan
American Legation Museum in Tangier
Bank al Maghrib, Credit Du Maroc, Société Générale Marocaine de Banque…

Aziz Benja has been represented by the Villa Houda Gallery in Morocco since 2018.
