Benoît Trimborn, an Alsatian painter, captures in his works the fleeting nature of the world around us. Having grown up surrounded by open horizons and ever-changing skies, these landscapes left an indelible mark on his artist’s soul. Inspired by the ephemeral impressions of Monet and the atmospheres of Friedrich, Trimborn suspends time on his canvases. His signature is characterized by a subtle dialogue between light and matter. He stylizes color with meticulous strokes, layering numerous translucent layers to create delicate plays of shadow and clarity. This immersive technique allows him to capture not only the visible reality but also the emotion that inhabits it. His minimalist landscapes reveal the beauty of nature in all its grandeur: a field bathed in the light of early morning, a forest shrouded in mist, and a sky in orange hues. Trimborn thus invites the viewer to a contemplative pause, a return to the essential. In each of his works, a part of the infinite is revealed, calling, without artifice, for contemplation.
