Marc Tanguy is a French painter born in Paris in 1959. He studied at the Ecole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris and the Ecole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Arts D\u00e9coratifs de Paris, where he was a pupil of Zao Wou Ki. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad. The artist considers himself above all a painter of landscapes, which show his fascination for the living and his wonder at Nature. He loves art history and the painters who made it, including the Venetians of the Italian Renaissance, the Fauves and the German Expressionists.
\nIt was his visit to a Pierre Bonnard exhibition at the Centre Georges Pompidou in the 80s that he describes as a shock, and which was to determine his way of painting.<\/p>\n
