Vin\u00e7a Monad\u00e9 keeps in mind the simplicity of Catalan cities. While working, she often thinks about the obviousness with which Romanesque architecture fits into the landscape, into nature. An engraver and screen printer since the 1980s, with ceramics, she recently found a way to freely elude frontality. Now, she aspires to work truly in situ, in and on the place, and in echo to its architecture. Combining simple volumes in sandstone, Vin\u00e7a Monad\u00e9 works on the volume as much as on the material. Both are treated with simplicity.
