Born in 1966 in Sa\u00f4ne-et-Loire, C\u00e9cile Cantele is not a figurative painter like so many others.<\/p>\n
At the age of 10, she was already attending the drawing school in Chalon-sur-Sa\u00f4ne. Her drawings focused on wild animals, which would later become her specialty when she designed for haute couture and scarves, such as Herm\u00e8s, C\u00e9line, and Scherrer.<\/p>\n
After studying art in Paris, C\u00e9cile embarked on a journey (USA, UK, Germany, etc.) to absorb new influences.<\/p>\n
She shares her unique sensibility through her work creating murals and trompe-l’\u0153il paintings for private clients and businesses.<\/p>\n
Sensitive to the preservation of wild animals since her earliest childhood, and a member of the WWF since the age of 12, her favorite books even then were those of Gerald Durrell, the naturalist with whom she corresponded for several years.<\/p>\n
She was active for nine years in an animal protection association.<\/p>\n
