The origin of my artistic approach lies in the enigmatic luminous and iridescent density of a synthetic blue pigment that I have spent twenty years studying and transforming into squares according to the principle of an equation.<\/p>\n
This vertigo has been etched into the back of my eye. I have worked \u201cat the pace of a millimeter,\u201d to borrow Aur\u00e9lie Nemours’ expression, and I have ended up integrating the world of geometric art and its (in)variable aesthetic.<\/p>\n
Continuing my research on the \u201cblue of the outside\u201d described by Merleau-Ponty in his writings, I discovered one day with some astonishment that the sky was the first \u201cterritory\u201d to be mapped by man in ancient times in order to contain its immanence.
\nThe divinatory rite of ornithomancy consisted of mentally dividing the sky into squares.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is a kind of stubbornness or disposition to be attentive to certain signs, as was the Auspex (a diviner described in Greek mythology), pointing his staff toward the sky, tracing a square in it, and waiting for birds to fly within this virtual perimeter to analyze their trajectory, predict the future, and understand the mysteries of the world…\u201d
\nFor some time now, I have fully embraced this strange coincidence, making it a focus of my research and shifting my work in new directions. I am now constructing, as rationally as possible, a \u201cmathematical imagination,\u201d a cosmometry based on the study of forms and matter. Fascinated by the myths of the universe, the history of
\nart, and ancient civilizations, I question the lesser-known origins of geometry and its manifestations, whether they come from nature, scientific data, or buried beliefs.<\/p>\n
