Esther Seguin began sculpting wood at the age of sixteen, self-taught, using a chainsaw and chisels to carve animals before turning her attention to the human figure. Her artistic path later took shape through training at the \u00c9cole Boulle, where she deepened her understanding of anatomy, classical techniques, and sculptural gesture.
\nHer work explores the face, the body, emotion, and the passage of time. She shapes figures whose expressions often carry a quiet melancholy, allowing the wood itself to tell its own story. Her inspirations are diverse \u2014 nature, legends, literature, and music \u2014 all transformed into visual narratives through sculpture.
