Marion CADET was born in Paris in 1989 and has been painting since she was a child. This didn’t prevent her from becoming an architect.
\nBut her initial passion caught up with her: in 2014 she was awarded the bronze medal at the Salon des Artistes
\nArtistes Fran\u00e7ais. She then decided to become a professional painter. Today, she is one of France’s leading contemporary
\ncontemporary art in France. She lives and works in Annecy.
\nHer paintings are based on an intensive process of photo-taking, from which she draws her inspiration.
\n\u201cI try to translate my own moods through my models’ personalities, postures and framing. A
\nreveal an interiority, a modesty, an intimacy, using crude and imprecise tools. <\/p>\n

\nHow do you evoke softness and subtlety by applying this black paint to the canvas with a dry, brisk gesture and a broad brush?
\nFrom black and white, the artist works only with black oil paint. She works in broad, dense or flush strokes.
\nflush. The movements of her brushes are charged or sometimes just scratched. They sculpt shadows, absorb and slow down light
\nand slow down the light, while the whiteness of the void becomes dazzling in counterpoint. The contrast is established between
\nbetween the precision of the details and the rawness of the technique used: a sketchy, yet almost photographic
\nphotographic aspect. In today’s digital and virtual age, these original works claim to represent the instantaneous in painting.

The recurring choice of large frames, on the scale of the painter’s body, is made to impose a real physical interaction
\ninteraction: between the artist and the work at the creative stage, and then to engage the public differently depending on their
\nposition in relation to the painting.
\nMarion CADET’s work has been exhibited in France, Brussels, Geneva, Lausanne, London, Munich, New York and Osaka.
\nthe artist is also keen to participate in several charity projects each year, either by creating specific works or by
\nor by donating paintings already completed to the benefit of :
