THE GALLERY
The Acid Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based on the research of emerging artists.

It aims to highlight current contemporary creation in the hope of serving as a springboard for young artists.

The artistic line of the gallery is rock, passionate and provocative.

THE CURATOR: Mr. Eric Delecourt
After having worked for many years in the accompaniment of personalities, Eric Delecourt created the concept store “MEMENTO MORI” in Lille, about ten years ago.

As a collector for more than 20 years, Eric’s sensitivity to art and the many opportunities for encounters associated with a time in his life when he had free time between two security missions, naturally led him to take an interest in contemporary art. From then on, he started visiting museums, galleries and art fairs.

His meeting with Denis Hopper, the emblematic director and actor of Easy Rider, a renowned photographer, was a trigger for his new path, as he allowed him to make private visits to renowned museums.

It was thus in 2016 that Acid Gallery was created. Within the gallery, two entities coexist: DTTH (DON’T TRUST THE HYPE) which promotes established artists and Acid Gallery dedicated to emerging artists.

At the beginning, Acid was only a virtual gallery. Then the gallery director wanted to make it a place for meetings and exchanges.

So in December 2018, the Acid Gallery moved to 11 rue de la collégiale, in the Old Town.
